  • Abstract:  To properly evaluate this memory kit we must ask the question, what did Aeneon set out to do with their XTune DDR3-1333 memory kit? Did they successfully accomplish their task? To answer this we can approach the kit from a few angles. With a selling pr...

  • What you see is what you can run at default voltage, Good for boards which cannot change memory voltage, Plenty of room up to 1500 MHz CL88824 at 2.0V, Runs 1333 MHz at 1.5V with ease, Lifetime warranty, Black headspreaders look sleek, Blue PCB
  • Price/Performance ratio when compared to DDR2, Standard CL latencies programmed into SPD, No real world gain when compared to DDR2, Other brands run at CL6 at same speed and price range
  • The Aeneon DDR3 1333 MHz Kit is an interesting entry point for the new memory format for Aeneon. As is the case with DDR3 at such low speeds in combination with high CL latency, there is no real gain in performance when compared to high speed, low late...

  • Aeneon’s first attempt into the high end DDR3 market hasn’t gone as well as we would’ve liked to have seen; while it did do the 1333MHz that the memory is rated for, its overclocking leaves a lot to be desired as it simply has a huge bot...

  • Being a memory kit that uses Qimonda's memory IC's rather than the "overclockers favourite" Micron D9, I was totally expecting to get to this part of the review and tell you about how the modules were no better than "average" in every respect. HOWEVER, (...

  • Though the Aeneon XTUNE kit runs at the lower frequency of 1333MHz, this far in the DDR3 game, most modules run at the same speed. One of the major differences about the XTUNE kit, though, is that it runs at 1.5V. On the whole, many companies have yet ...

  • Good looks, Reaches max performance and tighter timings at stock voltage, Good overclocking performance gains up to DDR31500
  • Not yet available in the states as far as we know, so not sure of the price, Overclocked ok, but not great
  • As I mentioned at the beginning, you probably havent heard of either Aeneon or Qimonda, though you may very well have Qimonda memory in your video card, on your motherboard, or possibly in your system memory. We should definitely be hearing more from...
