  • Its bombastic styling might not be to all tastes, but unlike many classic boomboxes from back in the day, the iMT800 is not all show and has a generosity of sound you don't normally get with iPod docks. Having room for a 5.25in subwoofer certainly hel...
  • Some things about the 80s belong there, and the iMT800's size and near-7kg weight will be a real turn-off for some. With an RRP of £270, meanwhile, there's nothing old-fashioned about the price tag, and for that kind of money we'd expect...
  • Of all the possible words you could use to describe the iMT800 Boombox, ordinary isn't likely to be one of them. Its in-your-face design means you'll probably love it or hate it, but it does have plenty going on beyond that in case you haven't...

  • Abstract:  A BOOM box is one of those huge, portable sound blasters lugged around by beefy African-Americans in gangster movies (as Hollywood would have us believe). Now that CDs are on the way out, it is inevitable that such devices will have to cater to the curr...

  • Design, lightweight, clip-on remote, audio quality, FM tuner, portable, great battery life, 2 x AUX
  • Bass is overpowered at higher volumes, No iPod browsing via remote, poor FM indoors, no clock & alarm function
  • The Altec Lansing MIX iMT800 sells for Rs. 20,000 with a one-year warranty. The pricing of iPod Docks have always been expensive, as expensive as the cost of the iPod. So, in order to have such good music you'd need to shell out as much or sometimes m...

  • Produces clear audio at high volume. Two aux-in jacks offer lots of flexibility. Full-featured remote. LCD displays current track info.
  • It's crazy heavy. No rechargeable battery pack. The remote can skip tracks but doesn't navigate iPod menus. No AM radio.
  • Too bad it's winter, because the Mix is going to shine at our next beach party...in June.Mix...

  • Portable, Great sound, Plays loud,
  • Basic LCD screen, No AM Radio, Difficult EQ Adjustment
  • Overall, the MIX Digital Boombox is pretty impressive. The biggest drawbacks would have to be its heavier than normal price tag and the bulky nature of the unit itself. Those looking to purchase an amplification device for their iPod/iPhone are goin...
