  • Abstract:  Those of you who have seen my videos know that I'm a Chromecast enthusiast. The Fire TV has some pretty big shoes to fill in my living room. Let's start with the flagship feature of the Fire TV: 4K video. The options for finding 4K video are still slim. Fo...

  • Access to plenty of 4K content, Easy to set up and use, Excellent gaming, regular content and apps access, Streams content very smoothly, Powerful processing specs for smooth use, Excellent price
  • No HDMI 2.0 as far as we can tell, Weak on game selection, No access to full range of Google Play apps, Heavily oriented toward Amazon Prime subscribers
  • Overall, the Amazon Fire TV box with 4K support is a great piece of hardware that's been build and programmed well for the range of features it offers. We generally think that the Nvidia Shield is the better device, but if you're an Amazon Prime subscrib...

  • At £80, the new Amazon Fire TV is the same price as a Roku 3, a more versatile set-top box that lacks voice control and 4K support. So if you want those features, it might be worth it. The Fire TV is slightly cheaper than the $130 (UK price TBA) Roku 4 wh...

  • Lightning-fast, Easy to use, Improved voice recognition, MicroSD,
  • Amazon hard-sell still present, Still no bundled HDMI cable,
  • The first Amazon Fire TV was good, but it failed to stand out from the crowd. The Fire TV of 2015 is a different proposition, however. The same money gets you a faster, smarter, and altogether more capable box. And did we mention it does 4K?See all our Ama...

  • Abstract:  Last year's Amazon's Fire TV streaming puck was a solid streaming effort from the etailer, giving you solid hardware, decent voice control tricks and a comfortable remote, but it didn't quite stand out from the pack. This year's version pack in 4K video s...

  • Superfast menu system thanks to quad-core processor, 4K Ultra HD video playback, dual-band dual-antenna Wi-Fi, microSD card slot for storage expansion, thousands of shows and movies available
  • Not that much 4K content is on the platform yet, Ultra HD movies are very expensive, if you haven't got an Amazon Prime or Prime Instant Video membership you won't get the most from it
  • Amazon's second-generation Fire TV box is a real step forward in the media streaming sector and considering the popularity of the first one is bound to be the device chosen by many families up and down the UK as their main living room device. By ad...
