  • The Pentium Extreme Edition marks real progress for Intel on multiple fronts. It is the fastest all-around desktop CPU that Intel has ever produced, and thanks to its faster bus, larger cache, and higher clock speeds, the Extreme Edition 955 consistent...

  • Good all around performance; runs relatively cool, even flat out; great dual-core CPU for PC gaming.
  • Expensive; only equals Intels new 955 Extreme Edition in many benchmarks.
  • Gamers now have a dual-core processor to call their own. Performance in other applications doesnt lag either. AMD no longer has a definitively better CPU than Intel—but the AMD FX-60 does run cooler than Intels latest....

  • Very Expensive, Upcoming DDR2 Platform Shift
  • The Athlon 64 FX-60 is a killer launch for performance users, and were glad to see AMD fully embracing the dual core philosophy with their enthusiast-level FX brand. This is the right way to go, especially as even hardcore gamers do more with their P...

  • Very fast CPU, Easy overclock with multiplier unlocked, Mutiltasking performance is great, Did we mention that it is fast?!
  • Expensive (as with all highend CPUs)
  • After working with this CPU for almost a month, I am very happy with its performance. To be able to do CD burning while listening to other music or playing a game is just awesome. Also, for the enthusiast, the FX-60 overclocked easily to FX-57 speeds ...

  • AMD Athlon 64 FX-60 is the best consumer processor AMD has ever produced. With effectively a pair of FX-55s sat in the same socket, sharing an efficient memory controller, it's close enough to FX-57 in single-threaded apps that the multi-threaded adva...

  • Abstract:  Ive posted my review of the Athlon 64 FX60. We compare it to the Pentium D 840, FX55, FX57, and Athlon 64 X2 4800+. We throw plenty of applications including games, and many of them are multithreaded. We also overclock up to 3.2GHz. Updated 1/12/06...
