  • Abstract:  First impressionsAlthough I only got the chance to play with the 16GB WiFi-only iPad (without dock) for an hour or so it was long enough to realise that as every week passes I may not only want it more but I may also have more use for. It's like Apple ...

  • Watch movies, play games, read books, great screen
  • Will cost you to fill it with useful stuff, can't multitask yet, limited to what Apple offers you
  • A fantastic device that is an emotional luxury. But be warned it will need feeding with content to keep you entertained and justify its existence...

  • It's no laptop replacement, but there is an argument for it as a secondary device. If you can live with the flaws, you'll find a beautiful gadget that manages to be that rare thing: a piece of technology that's fun. ...

  • Abstract:  You may still prefer the iPad model with built-in 3G (with Assisted GPS). For one thing, you may not have 4G service in your area. Or you many not want to carry around the Overdrive (though it's small, light, and battery powered). Be aware that..

  • Abstract:  How and where you'll use the iPad are of the essence.Advertisement***Breakfast in New York. Sitting in a booth at Cafe Habana, people are staring as I type emails on the iPad. For now, it grabs too much attention, for better or worse, with its big swoopy...

  • Bright 10inch multitouch screen, Long battery life, Fast performance with Apple A4 processor, Larger screen makes way for better applications, iBooks application supports open ePub format and texttospeech.
  • Somewhat heavy for an ereader, No earbuds included, No multitasking, but that may change in OS 4.0, No file system for managing files.

  • To return to my original point – the idea that the iPad is a “magical” thing in a decidedly unmagical world – I can honestly say that Apple got things right here in a way no one else has. The iPad excited us all so much that it's kind of a let-down to hol...

  • Abstract:  The 32GB Wi-Fi enabled iPad comes in a small box that can easily be confused with a coffee table book. Inside the box is the iPad, of course, plus a few loose pages for instructions, a power brick and a USB cord. And that's it. Slim, slick, Spartan, st...
