  • Almost six hours of battery life, Big screen, Very precise touch screen, WiFi and 3G Internet access, Reads Flash content
  • Glossy screen, Easy to leave fingerprints on case, Too many extras are expensive, Requires a separate dock for connection to TV

  • Attractive, sleek design, Sharp, responsive touchscreen, Very good A/V quality on player, Good Internet browsing and e-mail experience
  • Audio sometimes out of sync with TV output, Recording with optional DVR station is problematic, Picks up fingerprints easily, Issues with CinemaNow downloads
  • The Archos 5 is the sexiest device yet from the French PMP pioneer. It has a sleeker body than its predecessors, and eschews physical controls for an entirely touch-based interface. Available in 60, 120, and 250GB hard drive capacities, it’s even pr...

  • Screen, features, menu interface
  • Have to buy lots of dongles and software add-ons to get the most out of it
  • If you want more than just video playback this is one to check out ...

  • Abstract:  Nya generationens mediaspelare från Archos är en saftig liten bit. Trådlöst nätverk och en bamsig värstingskärm väcker habegär, men räkna med att helt andrakänslor väcks när du ser vad som inte ingår i köpet....

  • The A5 isnt perfect, but is comes very close. The device looks and feels superb, media playback is excellent, the internet experience is one of the best available on any current mobile device and the touchscreen UI is almost beyond criticism. Perhaps...

  • Tons of storage. Sleek design. Huge, beautiful screen. Built-in Wi-Fi and Web browser. On-screen home button for one-click main menu access. No need for stylus.
  • Quite expensive. Power button is also the reset button. Touch-screen interface is not as sophisticated as iPod touchs. UI could stand to be streamlined a bit—requires too many clicks at times.
  • This hard drive based PMP offers oodles of storage and a lot of the features that come with the flash-based iPod touch, including built-in Wi-Fi, a Web browser, and a big, beautiful touch screen....

  • The Archos 5—actually the company's sixth-generation handheld—is nice, but it's not the iPod touch killer I was hoping for after the initial demo. On one hand, the touchscreen interface is a fantastic upgrade over their last gen. The U...

  • Abstract:  The video-centric portable media player market isnt exactly a crowded place these days. At least not in the US, where the iPod and iPhone dominate. Players like the Creative Zen Vision W seem old and bulky, Cowan isnt exactly a household name and Mi...

  • Looks great, Works surprisingly well, Really is fun to use, Easy to use overall, Excellent picture quality for movies, DVR Station adds functionality and value
  • Some bugs still, Picks up dust and fingerprints easily, Parts still in beta, inaccessible, Remote for DVR not sensitive enough for some things, Appears fragile, could easily be broken if not careful
  • I really like the Archos 5 and DVR Station combination, the Archos 5 itself is really actually quite fun to play with, and the quality of the picture is very good considering the small screen. If you’re going to get the Archos 5 then the DVR Station...
