  • Stunning screen, Supports multiple video formats and content providers, Excellent webpage formatting, Built-in kickstand
  • Finicky touch controls, Sluggish processor, No flash support, DVR station not included
  • Archos has once again demonstrated why it is the reigning king of portable video players. The latest addition is the 704 Wi-Fi, which may be the ultimate PMP for multimedia mavens, even though it comes at a rather hefty price. It boasts a huge seven-in...

  • Large, sharp screen; excellent video performance; comprehensive accessory bundle; built-in stand, speakers; simple interface; built-in 802.11b/g Wi-Fi; wireless-server capability; includes Opera Web browser; impressive battery life for video playback
  • No built-in stylus storage; somewhat-limited playback support; additional A/V codecs cost extra; inferior speakers; Web browser cant display all sites; must purchase separate dock to use DVR function
  • Aside from a few flaws (including buggy Web browsing), the do-it-all Archos 704 is an excellent portable device for watching videos and surfing the Net on the go. ...
