Affordable, Good all, round performance, Acronis True HD is a nice bonus
Doesn't quite beat the top, end SSDs on the market, No 1TB version available, SSD lifespan good, but again, not the best around
If someone asked me to recommend an SSD for them, the 512GB Crucial MX100 would definitely be one I'd consider. While the Samsung 850 Pro comfortably retains its top spot on the SSD performance chart, the MX100 puts in a good show, and costs a full £100 ...

We liked The Crucial MX100 is brilliant value for money, with a lower RRP than the majority of other SSDs. It's fast in all tests we ran on it, and it has every feature you might want. The drive endurance may not be market-leading, but it's far from poor....

The 256GB MX100 finds the right balance of performance and price. Retailed at $120, the drive is quite affordable. Luckily you are not sacrifice much of the performance and storage capacity. Quite often with drives at this price range would offer subp...

Available in 128GB, 256GB and 512GB capacities, Excellent sequential read speeds, Good random read and write performance, Performs equally well with compressible and incompressible data, SATA 6Gb/s interface, Large DRAM cache, Native Write Acceleration, D
Lower capacity drives have slower sequential write speeds than other SSDs in their class
While not the fastest SSD to come through the 'Labs, Crucial's MX100 delivers a lot of bang for your buck. The drive combines Marvell's 88SS9189 controller with Micron's new 16nm 128gb NAND to deliver a fast, responsive computing experience at a price tha...
Phenomenal price, Good large read speeds, 9.5mm adapter included
Falters in other benchmarks, Mediocre endurance level, Three-year warranty
Crucial's MX100 is the cheapest SSD we've ever seen, and the low price makes up for its inconsistent performance – in some tests this is one of the best drives we've reviewed, and in others it's near the bottom of the table. Still, it's faster than any ha...
Blistering read speeds, Excellent value for money,
Slower write speeds than other SSDs,
The Crucial MX100 is fantastic for an entry level solid state drive. It's not quite as fast as some drives, but if you're upgrading from a standard hard drive, the MX100 will provide you with a massive leap in performance at a more than reasonable price....

Good performance. Very fast small-file write speeds. Costs less than 50 cents per gigabyte.
Not available in 1TB capacity. Lagged a bit in real-world, file-copy testing
The Crucial MX100CS successfully breaks the 50 cents-per-gigabyte barrier and puts nicely sized solid-state drives (SSDs) within reach of mainstream users. With this drive, you'll spend much less time waiting for reboots and for apps to load....

It looks like Crucial has a winner on its hands here with the Crucial MX100 256GB SDD (CT256MX100SSD1) . As we have stated in the past SSDs are not generally that exciting, but this one is a little more interesting than some of the others at least, becau...
