Great graphics, some moments had us jumping in fright, awesome environments for the horror gameplay, exceptional AI combat and fierce fire-fights. A solid effort and well worth the purchase for fans of the old F.E.A.R.
Single player is too short, and theres nothing innovative or new for a FPS. The multiplayer feels like it lacks the little extra that it takes for a game to gain a long-standing online presence.
It’s great to see a developer building on its original game with such love and care. One of our favourite shooters in living memory. 9.1/10Print this pageUser reviews (2)Share this pageNoticed something wrong? Report error/mistake....

The basic combat is still outstanding; graphics engine makes for showstopping slow-mo fights.
Gameplay might feel like a simple rehash of the original to some; less interesting story.
Monoliths never been a company to play it safe. There was 1998s Shogo, one of the first full-polygon shooters, alternating between on-foot and mecha combat. The No One Lives Forever games took a risky approach by injecting wit into an otherwise no-no...
Abstract: When the original F.E.A.R. hit the PC back in 2005, FPS junkies were caught off guard by the game’s innovative horror elements, adding hallucinatory effects and disturbing images of a demonic little girl that followed players at all times; it was a vi...
