  • So Daydream View is here, Daydream VR is here and we've got to spend a couple of days with it. Overall I found that Daydream is the best Mobile VR experience I have had. The Hardware is great (despite my earlier quibbles), the UI model works well and the...

  • Polished VR experience, Nifty controller, Light and comfortable fit, Affordable
  • Unproven ecosystem, Chews through the Pixel's battery, Smartphone VR doesn't nail "presence" yet, Only works with two phones at the moment
  • Daydream View is the most polished smartphone-powered virtual reality experience we've seen to date. If you own a Google Pixel and want a comparatively affordable taste of the future, pick up a Daydream View...

  • Affordable, portable and easy to set up. The bundled motion controller is convenient and easy to use. Exclusive YouTube, Google Street View and Google Photos feel like potential killer apps
  • It only works with Google Pixel and Moto Z for now (more on the way). The headset is front-heavy and frequently needs adjusting. There's limited app selection at launch and you can't walk around or grab things in VR
  • The Daydream View is the simplest, most affordable way to turn a phone into an immersive VR headset...

  • Daydream View isn't supposed to give PSVR, Oculus Rift or the HTC Vive a run for their money. It's an inexpensive headset that works with your phone to deliver VR experiences. Compromised ones, sure, but then it's running off something that slips in your p...

  • Comfortable, affordable, impressive VR experiences
  • Steep hardware requirements, hard to keep dustfree, needs more apps, a drain on battery
  • Daydream is nothing short of a revelation. Assuming your phone can cope, it makes powerful VR experiences accessible to the masses...

  • More comfortable than most VR headsets, Daydream Controller is excellent, High quality VR experiences
  • Basically no apps at launch, Light bleed affects immersion
  • If you're a Pixel XL owner and want something new, there's a lot to like in this headset. If you recently ditched a Note 7 for the Pixel and are hoping this experience rivals your Gear VR, Daydream View isn't going to fully measure up.See at the Google St...

  • Abstract:  All images: Alex Cranz/Gizmodo It isn't the games that really wow me when I slip on the Daydream View VR headset. It isn't the worlds that the Google Maps app allow me to visit. It isn't even the immediate sensation of wonder that VR still instills...
