  • Imponerande prestanda i flertrådade applikationer, Låg strömförbrukning, God överklockningspotential

  • zes cores, energieverbruik relatief laag

  • Abstract:  Vi testar här hur Intels nya flaggskepp Core i7 980X Extreme presterar.

  • The performance of the i7 980x leaves us breathless. It doesn't matter what we threw in its direction, it just gobbled it up begged for more. We often need to tie our testing results up into a handy bundle and try and give a clear overall impression of th...

Klik for større billede.

  • Monster multi-threaded performance, Relatively modest power consumption
  • Stupidly expensive, Turbo Mode disappoints
  • The PC industry has bet all its chips on multi-core. Hence, the full potential of this new six-core specimen from Intel will surely be unleashed in time. But for now, and at this price point, it doesn't add up for a typical PC user. However, the knowledge...

  • Consumes less or equal power compared to Intel's competing quadcores, Excellent overclocking potential
  • Costly
  • Intel may be the first to launch a six-core processor on the desktop but rival AMD has had six-cores Opterons since last year and its own consumer six-core variant, Thuban, is rumored to be released next month. That's not all - Intel's 8-core Xeons, Nehal...
