  • Most of the features of the Harmony 1000i for $300 less, new touchscreen LCD, rechargeable cradle for Lithium Ion battery, favourite channel buttons with graphics.
  • Still $400 for a remote, awkward with idiosyncratic devices, confusing to use for tech illiterates, software obtrusive on your PC.

  • Touchscreen display, Easy to set up, Can control numerous devices with ease
  • Need a PC or Mac connection, May need some fiddling with when putting in codes
  • Logitech has firmly ensconced itself in the world of AV through its Harmony universal remote series and, to a lesser effect, its iPod docks. So following on from the PDA-style king of the range, the Harmony 1000, this is a more conventional-looking con...

  • Easy to program and use. Ergonomic design. Intuitive layout of controls with visual and non-visual cues. Touch screen. Did I mention easy?
  • Requires more direct line of site than previous models, some buttons are difficult to reach with one hand. Charging station is not well designed.
  • Based upon the fact that I write for a site like Gear Diary, it should come as no surprise that I suffer from a long-diagnosed addiction to gadgets. Of course, one of the biggest problems with this collection of gadgetry is that each one comes with ...

  • Abstract:  I've been using the Harmony 880 for a while now and while it's a good remote, it does have some problems. At CES, Logitech had on display their latest one and going over the item briefly, I saw that they did address some of the shortcomings of the 880....

  • Inspired ergonomic layout, Exceptional low/nolight visibility, Works like a Harmony
  • No RF support, Touchscreen works best with two hands
  • PerformanceSome components have a weight and a heft that say, "Im packed with technology." Pick up an iPhone, and you can just tell that its crammed with silicon and magic. Surprisingly, the One doesnt give off that vibe. Even the "inferior" Model 6...
