  • Abstract:  Beneath a frozen city ruined long ago by its own weapons of destruction, humankind clings to survival. In dirty overcrowded stations, women haggle for scraps at the market as old men mourn the world they lost and children run underfoot, knowing no life...

  • Rich, pervasive atmosphere, Intriguingly detailed environments, Rewards exploration and observation, Some clever weapons
  • Ungainly animations can make combat awkward, Problematic enemy AI, Darkness is sometimes overbearing, Visual blemishes can hinder immersion
  • Though it can seem dilapidated at times, Metro 2033 is a dark journey saturated with an enthralling atmosphere that will reward intrepid adventurers....

  • Abstract:  After years of having cooperative modes and multiplayer features shoved down the throats of gamers who would rather sit down and enjoy the single-player campaign by their lonesome, 4A Games and THQ have delivered a first-person shooter that hits all th...

  • It’s refreshing to play a game in which we’re shooting as the Russians rather than shooting at them, and it’s one that explores the nation’s checkered history to boot. Shaky combat lets Metro 2033 down, but as an overall experience...

  • The world is interesting and has some fascinating ideas serving as building blocks; it definitely makes you want to read the novel.
  • It's a rather lackluster introduction to a universe that obviously has something worthwhile to say. Some obvious design flaws scuttle the gameplay as well.

  • Abstract:  Stop me if you've heard this one before. Metro 2033 is a first-person shooter set in in post-apocalyptic -- Okay, I can stop now, eh? The premise isn't overly innovative, but it does take its own spin on the idea. Set under Moscow, you play...

  • Evocative paranormal atmosphere, Superb attention to detail, Play it cautious, and the shooting issues dissolve
  • The shooting sucks, May be too unforgiving for some, A few naive design decisions

  • Abstract:  Based on the novel Metro 2033 by Dmitry Glukhovsky, this post apocalyptic story is brilliantly engaging and unlike quite a few first person shooters, it has quite a complex and twisted tale. The content of the story is also not for children and at tim...
