  • Super-long battery life, Best graphics performance in a 13-inch convertible, Beautiful screen and good pen support
  • Very expensive, Heavy for a 13-inch ultrabook convertible, No Thunderbolt 3.0 nor USB 10Gbps
  • When Microsoft announced details of the Surface Book i7, I was pretty disappointed in its middle-aged hardware. In use, however, it appears there's plenty of life left in these parts. That the Surface Book i7 can actually give you better graphics p...

  • It's a lean performance hybrid with an awesome keyboard. The sharp touchscreen has a sweet aspect ratio for hardcore docjockeying. Laptop mode offers the graphics performance of a decent gaming laptop. It does hybrid right
  • Battery life is solid, but falls short of the 16 hours claimed. Sometimes you will forget where the power button is. It's expensive, but you're essentially getting two computers in one

  • Flexible 2-in-1 form factor, Impressive graphics upgrade over original, Excellent build quality, Seamless integration of Windows 10
  • GPU not quite desktop-VR-ready, Expensive, Performance Base not sold separately, No Thunderbolt 3
  • NOW READ: Microsoft's Surface Studio is a stunning AIOSadly, while existing Surface Book owners could dock their screen into the new Performance Base and get all the benefits of the new GPU, Microsoft won't be selling the keyboard section separately. Even...

  • Improved speed, graphics and battery life in a similar, crisp design. Detachable tablet comes included, as does the Surface Pen. Has USB ports and SD card slot
  • It's also slightly thicker and heavier than last year's version, and retains the odd gap on the folding hinge. Expensive compared to other options. Doesn't meet minimum specs for VR gaming
  • The design remains mostly unchanged, but PC power users will like the extra power and battery life on the updated 2016 version of the Surface Book...
