  • Small, lightweight yet sturdy construction, reliable results and responsive in operation, intuitive to use with or without Intelligent Guide deployed
  • No Live View option, no movies of any description, no built-in anti-shake
  • Though some may find Nikon’s implementation of an on-board help guide with large print text and bright graphics on the D3000 patronising, there’s no denying it’s a clever way to widen its traditionally specialist user base and attract ne...

  • Abstract:  The is an excellent entry-level Family DSLR for beginner photographers tired of the limitations of Point-and-Shoot digital cameras. It is a compact and lightweight DSLR camera with the performance and responsiveness characteristic of much more expensi...

  • Very lightweight and easy to carry , Excellent image quality at low ISO levels , Speedy performance for an entry-level digital SLR
  • LCD screen is a little grainy , No live view , ISO only up to 1600 , SD card door is flimsy
  • As long as you don't expect too many fancy bells and whistles, you won't be disappointed with the quality and performance of the D3000....

  • Abstract:  If you’re an enthusiast photographer and want to learn more about how to take photos in different situations, there is probably no better camera to get your hands on than Nikon’s D3000. It’s an inexpensive digital SLR camera with manual features, but i...

  • In-built guides, easy to use, useful 3D tracking focus
  • Has minimal buttons and only one control dial, noisy images from ISO 400 and above, can only autofocus with AF-S lenses
  • The Nikon D3000 isn’t designed to ’wow’ people, but instead to teach people. It’s a digital SLR camera with in-built guides that can help novices select the appropriate shooting mode and settings depending on the style of photo the...

  • Abstract:  The D3000 Nikon's newest inexpensive DSLR. It's a good camera all by itself, but it's the worst DSLR Nikon has ever made. What makes it worse by comparison is significantly slower and balkier operation when compared to other Nikon DSL...

  • Abstract:  It's been some time since Nikon released the D60, so a new entry-level DSLR comes as no surprise. If you're familiar with earlier DSLRs such as the D40 and D60, you'll find yourself in familiar territory with the D3000. It feels pretty much the s...
