  • TDP and power draw is superb at 220W for such a large high-performance GPU, Overclockability is excellent – GPU Boost works as advertised, The reference design cooling is quiet and efficient; the card and well-ventilated case stay cool even well-overclock
  • There is no backplate; not even a removable optional plate for non-SLI users, The cooler is a little weak for the overclocked GM220 and it would be good to get a new reference design from Nvidia after 3 years, The

  • There is a, admittedly very small, minority of people who think that we're "nVidia fanboys" here at OC3D. That somehow we take joy from the immense performance nVidia have regularly attained. Of course that's absolute rubbish. It behoves us to have the la...

  • Abstract:  Fewer than three months have passed since Nvidia took the wraps off of GeForce GTX Titan X, and the company is already launching another GM200-based graphics card called GeForce GTX 980 Ti. It's about $400 cheaper than the flagship's street price. Yet, we...

  • The Geforce GTX 980 Ti from a hardware and game rendering point of view is obviously a terrific product, but does come at a price level that many get goose-bumps from. That is what it is and really all I have to say about it. Enthusiast cards always have...

  • Fast and efficient. Capable of 4K gaming. An expensive affair but nonetheless a good value. Runs quiet and overclocks well.
  • The Radeon R9 295X2 remains a threat in pure throughput.

  • Abstract:  Comparing the two GM200 cards, other than the drop in the number of shaders/SMMs, the 980 Ti looks a lot like the Titan X. It still has 96 ROPs and a 384-bit GDDR5 interface, though “only” with 6GB VRAM this time. We're already seeing signs of 4GB VRAM be...

  • The GTX 980 Ti is an absolute monster, a graphics card that will ultimately set the stage for a battle with AMD on both the pricing and performance fronts. Even without looking into our crystal ball to six months down the road, it is obvious that NVIDIA h...

  • Overclocking, Performance, Price point, GameWorks VR, DX 12 ready, New tech, Good looks

  • When NVIDIA dropped the GTX Titan X back in March, you almost knew there had to be another Maxwell card in the pipeline. As it turns out there was, and it's every bit the game changing beast that GTX Titan X is for many of the same reasons, and then some...
