Excellent sound quality; six HDMI inputs, including a front panel input; onboard Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio decoding; Sirius-ready; upconverts analog video signal to 1080i; automatic speaker calibration.
Analog video upconversion is poor; no true graphical user interface; no 7.1 analog inputs; no S-Video inputs; big and boxy design; Dolby Pro Logic IIz doesnt have much audible effect.
If you can overlook its poor analog video conversion, the Onkyo TX-SR607 offers up a ton of HDMI connectivity and excellent sound quality for a midrange AV receiver.
Try though we might, the TX-SR607 is hard to fault. It delivers the sort of sparkling sound quality you'd expect from a receiver costing a lot more, while the feature list is similarly impressive - the highlights being Dolby Pro Logic IIz (if you can acco...
