  • Abstract:  Panasonic DMP-BD10 Blu-ray Disc Player The launch of the Blu-ray high definition disc format didnt exactly live up to its hype. The first Blu-ray player on the market didnt perform as well as everyone had hoped for and the initial waves of poorly pr...

  • Excellent picture quality on Blu-ray and DVD; DVD upconversion to 480p, 720p, 1080i, and 1080p; HDMI output; DVD-Audio support; sleek design.
  • Very expensive; terrible remote; annoying front flip-down panel on unit; relatively slow load times; no HDMI 1.3.
  • The Panasonic DMP-BD10 is a very competent first-generation Blu-ray player, but its high price and the comparably affordable PlayStation 3 make it hard to recommend.

  • Abstract:  The world’s most expensive Blu-ray player is still cheaper than ultra high-end DVD players. We take a closer look at Panasonics high-end Blu-ray baby. Priced at a wallet-numbing $2,749 Panasonics DMP-BD10 is comfortably the most expensive of the new...

  • Picture quality
  • Dull looks; far too expensive; so-so DVD upscaling; rubbish remote
  • 1,100 is far too expensive for this at the moment, but look beyond the price and dreary styling and youve got the best Blu-ray player on the market. True, its only the second -- but the picture quality with certain discs is stunning ...
