  • Its picture quality is staggeringly good, the new my Home Screen interface is superb, and its multimedia playback tools are comprehensive.
  • Not as many online video services as we'd like, design doesn't rival latest LCD models, pointless Touch Pen feature
  • LCD might still be winning the popularity war, but the Panasonic P42GT60 proves categorically that when it comes to stone cold picture quality, there's plenty of life left in plasma yet....

  • Amazing picture quality; Good all-round range of features; Customisable smart TV homescreen; Relatively affordable
  • Only three HDMI ports -- one less than last year's model; Lacks the camera and second tuner you get on the VT65 models

  • Reference black levels, Incredible contrast ratio and dynamic range, Lack of PWM noise and clean looking images, Very good out-of-the-box greyscale, Reference greyscale after calibration, Excellent out-of-the-box colour gamut, Reference color gamut after
  • Occasional dynamic false contouring, Some dither noise in darker elements of the picture, HDMI inputs are too close to the edge
  • The P50GT60 was an equally stellar performer when it came to 3D, with the added brightness and plasma's inherent advantages in this format really coming to the fore. There are usually three main areas where 3D can struggle - brightness, motion and crossta...
