  • Excellent image quality, Inbody shake reduction and dust removal, Competetively priced, Userfriendly interface, Very fast liveview autofocus, Loaded with features otherwise uncommon for its class, 100% pentaprism viewfinder, Fully weathersealed, Durable c
  • 12bit RAW files, rather than 14bit, Viewfinder autofocus speed lags behind the competition, Autofocus poor for sports, Drops out of live view when menu is accessed or mode is changed, Loud autofocus with screwdrive lenses, Somewhat loud shutter, Live view
  • The K-50 is rather unique in its feature set: for example, you won't find a 100% viewfinder in any other entry-level camera, nor will you find weather sealing.  If you value features such as these over movie or performance-related features, then the K-50...

  • If you're prone to pessimism, it's tempting to view the K-50 as a disappointingly stagnant release—really little more than a warmed-over, rounded-off, multi-hued K-30. Where's the innovation, Pentax? How many times can you release a slight variation on th...

  • Allweather finish, 100% pentaprism optical viewfinder, Loads of customisable features and settings, Very good picture quality up to 1600 ISO, Builtin stabilisation system, Can run on an Lion camera battery or four AAs, RAW and/or JPG photos can be deleted
  • Slow to start up and slow to focus in low light, No swivel or tilt screen, no touchscreen controls, No WiFi, Grip could be better, Kit lens (DA 1855 WR) isn't great, Video mode is nothing more than bogstandard, Mono microphone, no audio line in for an ext
  • While the 100% viewfinder and top-quality weatherproof finish are definitely plus points for the Pentax K-50, that doesn't necessarily make this SLR a top choice. The main problem here is that the older K-30 offers the same basics as this newer model. Pen...

  • wysoka rozdzielczość obrazu, niskie szumy na zdjęciach JPEG i RAW, dynamika tonalna na wysokim poziomie, skuteczny balans bieli w większości przypadków, funkcjonalny tryb live view z dość szybkim autofokusem, solidny i uszczelniony korpus, wygodny,

  • Budowa, jakość wykonania i funkcjonalnośćPod względem jakości wykonania trudno mieć zastrzeżenia do Pentaksa K-50. Jego korpus został wykonany ze stopów magnezu i stali nierdzewnej, a ponadto aparat jest w pełni uszczelniony i odporny na niskie temperatur...

  • While perhaps the sensor in the K-50 is looking a little dated, there's no denying it is capable of outstanding image quality. Couple that with, arguably, the more promising overall camera specification and a design aesthetic intended to suit enthusiasts...

  • Large pentaprism viewfinder. Weather-sealed design. 5.9fps burst shooting. Customizable controls and noise reduction. In-body shake reduction. Very good high ISO performance. Available in 120 different colors.
  • Fixed rear LCD. No mic input. Slow to focus when recording video

  • Abstract:  Essentially a tweaked version of its predecessor, the K-30 , that can be two-toned to your heart's delight , the Pentax K-50 doesn't seem like much of an update apart from the colors and a nonspecific update to the autofocus system. That said, it still st...

  • The Pentax K-50 features a weather-sealed body that's unique in its price class, an interesting set of shooting features, support for AA-size batteries, and a relatively nice viewfinder. Plus, it comes in colors, if that appeals to you. The cheaper K-500
  • Image quality and performance, while acceptable, don't match the competition's, and the cameras lack an articulated LCD. Also, both the shutter and the lens make a lot of noise
  • A reasonable option for an entry-level dSLR, the Pentax K-50 should satisfy if you need the weather-sealed design. But while acceptable, it and its cheaper sibling the K-500 lag behind the competition in image quality and performance.

  • Camera body and supplied lens are both weatherproofed against the elements, whilst internal sensor shift shake reduction mechanism means that specially image stabilised lenses are not required, very swift to power up and auto focus
  • Body design reflects price in being chunky with big buttons and relatively frill free, LCD is fixed rather than angle adjustable, noisy mechanics of zoom lens if used in automatic mode
  • The Pentax K-50 is so nearly a great camera, but a slightly bland design and lack of adjustable LCD when used as viewfinder let it down. There are more svelte alternatives with that feature and others that match it in this price range. However if you plan...
