  • Abstract:  It's always nice to review an Ultrabook that's well-balanced and good value for money. The Toshiba U940 was one. The Samsung Series 5 (Sandy Bridge) was another. Does the Samsung Series 5 with touch, Windows 8 and SSD, have the same values? Read-on to fin...

  • The Samsung Series 5 Ultra touch Ultrabook is a slim little thing that delivers a fairly durable on-the-go experience for anyone looking for an Ultrabook to see them through most of their day. While there may be a few other Ultrabooks poking around the ...

  • Apparently I've stated that there are quite a few faults with the Ultrabook, but at the same time, it didn't have anything catastrophically wrong that compromised the experience, other than the poor performing SanDisk U100 Solid State Drive it came wit...

  • Good performance, Excellent battery life, Minor build quality issues niggled out, Display is mostly non-reflective, One of the best keyboards across ultrabooks
  • Slightly pricey, including a premium for the touchscreen, No dedicated graphics
  • The Series 5 Touch builds on what the previous edition ultrabook offered, with the added touchscreen for Windows 8. But, do you really want to pay a sort of premium for that extra feature?...

  • Balancing portability with power, the 13.3in Samsung NP540U3C-A01UK is a solid ultrabook that’s flexible enough for home use or on the road. Suitable for media playback and productivity, the price isn’t too bad either. ...

  • With a slim, sturdy design and a powerful mainstream CPU, the touch-enabled Samsung Series 5 UltraTouch is a great sub-$900 13-inch Windows 8 machine
  • Good thing it has a touch screen, because the touch pad is a bit jumpy. Performance is slower than that of similar Core i5 laptops
  • Samsung's midprice Series 5 UltraTouch looks and feels like a more expensive machine, but keeps it simple by skipping the complex hybrid mechanics of so many new Windows 8 systems....
