  • The 750GB Seagate Pushbutton Backup combines large capacity with a small form factor. It reads data quickly and comes with backup software for safeguarding the data on your PC.
  • The drive writes data slowly.
  • The 750GB Seagate Pushbutton Backup drive packs a lot of data into a small space. Unfortunately, its a bit pokey when writing data to the drive, which would be frustrating to anyone who backs up a lot.

  • Abstract:  The Seagate 3.5-inch external hard disk drive with a 400GB capacity is certainly a backup solution for users with a huge storage appetite. Find out how this drive performed in our tests as we put it against its older 160GB sibling.

  • Abstract:  When we last visited Seagate’s external backup drive (the company’s product-naming department must be understaffed these days), it sported a mere 160GB courtesy of the company’s seventh-generation 7,200rpm hard drive. Seagate just released a second-gen...

  • Easy push-button backup, Huge capacity, Simple style, Decent backup software included, Blue power and HDD LEDs and orange LED around backup button, Quiet operation
  • Not cheap $300+, Makes a weird noise sometimes while in use
  • Seagate can proudly say that it has one of the largest capacity external drives on the market right now (look for a 500GB version soon). Moreover, the company can claim that the 400GB USB 2.0/FireWire Pushbutton External Hard Drive is a solid product ...

  • Very large capacity, Dual option hookup for both PC and Mac, Respectable transfer speed
  • Little noisy, Bundled backup software is a little clunky
  • The Seagate 400GB Pushbutton Backup drive puts an absolutely huge amount of storage in your hands, free to carry wherever you like. I was actually surprised by the transfer rates I could achieve; copying a gigabyte of files in just over a minute throug...
