Massive improvement to sound quality, Admirably cohesive soundstage, Looks fantastic, Can be positioned anywhere in the room, Very simple setup
It doesn't come cheap
There's no getting away from the fact that the Sonos Sub is an expensive piece of kit, but the difference it can make to the sound quality of your Sonos setup is astonishing. Is it worth the money? It depends on how important sound quality is to you. If,...
There’s no denying that the Sonos SUB is a great bit of kit. It looks amazing, is a piece of cake to set up and gives a marked improvement to the audio quality of an existing Sonos system. However, £599 is also undeniably expensive for a subwo...

The Sonos Sub has a unique, eye-catching design and its wireless function works from anywhere in a room (though it does have to be plugged in). It really augments the sound of your Play speakers and the setup is a breeze
Its finish doesn't match any other Sonos components and the Sub doesn't work as well with the Connect: Amp. It's expensive and won't work outside of a Sonos system

Interacts intelligently with other Sonos units; easy to set up; offers crisp and defined bass
May not be necessary with great speakers, $999
What makes the Sub attractive is its relationship with other Sonos components. Sonos’ engineers understand the capabilities of all those components and can tune Sonos powered-speakers so that they sound their best when a Sub is added to the setup. Ther...

If you can afford it and youre already invested in Sonos, then yes: Its a definite improvement. If youre not rich, buy the Connect:Amp and hook it up to a good set of speakers. But you should probably buy Sonos, because it makes you listen to more musi...
