Good image quality in low light too, fast continuous mode shooting speed, fast and accurate AF with tracking, live phase detection, large view in EVF, mechanical zoom and focusing rings, HDR bracketing, GPS, more compact than DSLRs, ergonomic
Zoom ring locks up occasionally, Camera overheats while full HD video shooting and shuts down
The Sony Alpha SLT-A55V is an excellent performer and the image quality does come near that of DSLRs. It gives you complete control over all the camera functions and the manual focus along with the manual zoom allows you to achieve some amazing results...
The Sony Alpha SLT-A55 is a fast camera – amazingly so at times. The main reason for this is the lack of movable mirrors inside the body. This means it's not a traditional DSLR – even though it features similar sensor technology and interchangeable lenses, and as a result you can capture up to 10 frames per second with the Sony Alpha SLT-A55. The lack of mirrors also allow the Sony Alpha SLT-A55
On the downside, the lack of moving mirrors inside the Sony Alpha SLT-A55 mean that what you see isn't exactly what you get. Instead of seeing through the lens itself, the Sony Alpha SLT-A55 uses an electronic viewfinder (EVF). It's good, but it uses more battery life than a proper viewfinder, and it can never quite match up to DSLR rivals.
Overall, the Sony Alpha SLT-A55 is an impressive piece of kit. It's well made, offers a host of decent lenses, and is incredibly quick. It's good for shooting fast moving objects then, but you'll have to get used to the electronic viewfinder. Best offe...

The Sony SLT-A55 ends up in a very awkward position. It’s a full-fledged DSLR-like camera but with an electronic viewfinder, which is isn’t what you expect from a camera that’s priced at Rs. 47,990.The Sony A55 looks like any other DSLR on the outside ...
Abstract: No, that’s not a typo—the “T” in the acronym refers to the new mirror system in the Sony alpha a55 and stands for “translucent.” This setup, available in this camera and the new alpha a33, uses a fixed mirror system with a “half translucent mirror” t...
