  • Mimics natural movement well, Very interactive, Good battery life
  • Expensive
  • If you are looking for a way to get out of getting your kids a dog or cat, you might want to take a look at the Pleo. Pleo offers a very similar interactive experience for kids short of following them around, playing fetch and pooping on the rug. ...

  • Pleos emotions are believable Hes pretty cute You can maybe develop for him, one day
  • Pleo gets boring fast Are they sure it has sensors? The word "autonomous" doesnt really mean what Ugobe thinks it means
  • Pleo is billed as an autonomous robot that appeals to both children and adults. Kids might like Pleo—its cute, it coos when you scratch its chin, and it doesnt even have accidents indoors. But adults and teens are likely to tire of the Pleo quickly...

  • Abstract:  For about two months now I’ve been playing with a baby dinosaur — a Camarasaurus from the Jurassic period, to be specific. It coos, barks, shakes, cries and plays tug of war, which squelches all hope that this is a real animal suddenly returne...

  • He’s cute, he’s cuddly, he’s affectionate, he’s trainable, he’s interactive, and he’s easy to maintain
  • Pleo truly needs a way to indicate when his battery is running low; plus the battery only lasts for about an hour and a half of solid play
  • When I was a kid, my parents bought me my first robot. Except this was in the early 70s, so it wasn’t a real robot - it was a fuzzy effigy, a mechanized kitten thing. The kitten was tethered by co-joined wires to a long battery box which also se...

  • Abstract:  Ugobe's Pleo is the latest "electronic pet" to hit the consumer market, and as such, has received plenty of attention from media and consumers. At $350, Pleo is more expensive than a Furby but cheaper than an AIBO. After spending the last few days toy...

  • Adorable. Lifelike. Smart. Has a personality. Changes over time.
  • Pricey. Relatively short battery life. Audible motors. Soft, but not smooth skin.
  • Ugobes Pleo robotic dinosaur is a fun, friendly companion that will likely leave you wishing for more....
