  • Hassle-free set up, user-friendly interface, extensive file support, tailor-made for HD TVs
  • HDMI audio occasionally out of sync with video, sluggish and tiny remote
  • If you want an easy, hassle-free way to transfer HD content to your TV, you could do a lot worse than the WD TV. While short on fancy features, it offers a simple solution for computer-free media playback, including high-definition movies. Highly reco...

  • Affordable. Excellent file support—including for HD video and lossless audio codecs. Simple, intuitive user interface. Includes file-conversion software.
  • No wireless streaming. Doesnt include a USB drive. Unremarkable physical design.
  • What the WD TV HD Media Player does do—play content off of a USB drive—it does well, but that doesnt necessarily mean this is a useful or desirable device....

  • Abstract:  The company formerly known as Western Digital enters the set-top box game with a cool gadget aimed at people with a lot of downloaded content. Slingbox it ain’t, nor is it a real competitor for the Apple TV box. In fact, it doesn’t even have built-in s...

  • No included HDMI cable, No rmvb support
  • If you're the type of person that has a comprehensive digital media collection and that doesn't already have a fancy media centre setup with networked storage and the like, the Western Digital WD TV HD Media Player should be right at the top of your Chris...

  • Wide file support, intuitive and slick interface, potentially a convenient media "bridge" for some users
  • No Ethernet connection, shame about no memory card support, no HDMI cable
  • We found that music, photos and movies played back smoothly and the WD TV was a pleasure to use. Combined with a discreet slick design, and a simple to use interface, for some it will be a real winner...
