  • Overall, it works pretty well, and – initial setup niggles aside – it’s fairly slick. But it’s also £120, and you can buy scales that will measure just about everything you want for a quarter of that, and then type the numbers into Excel. It’s certain...

  • Easy to use; looks great; works very well
  • Unexplained occasional weight variance, PC Range www.wifiscale.com.au, Rating 4.5
  • Withings has dragged the scale into the 21st century, and has done a very good job indeed. Not only does it work well, it does it with a minimum of effort from the user. The only negative is that it occasionally records a widely varying weight. I ‘lost...

  • It comes with WiFi connectivity (802.11g) builtin so that it can transmit the results directly to a few select websites so you can keep track of measurements online,
  • Its high price tag will probably appeal only to dieters or fitness enthusiasts who want to track their weight religiously.
  • A nifty, if pricey, scale for those who want to chart and announce their weight online....

  • Relatively easy to set up, can monitor up to 8 people’s weight, automatically uploads data to the Withings website where you can chart progress and set goals, free iPhone app lets you monitor your weight loss and find inspiration while away from the computer, optional ability to post your weight to Twitter to help your friends motivate you, is just plain geeky fun to use!
  • Hard to keep clean, not recommended for people with pacemakers, takes the reading a bit too fast, I’m not sure how many people will actually use the “social embarrassment” aspects of the device Every time you submit our site, an Angel gets its wings.
  • The Withings Body Scale is the tech geek’s best friend in the war on flab. While I initially thought that setting the scale to automatically post my weight to Twitter would be the motivating force in my weight loss, as I went along I found that simply...
