Abstract: Adobe Photoshop celebrates its 20th anniversary this year with an estimated 10 million users worldwide, exceeding the dreams of its founders who hoped it would sell 500 copies a month when it was first released. Now in its 12th iteration, Adobe Photosh...
Abstract: Not many programs make it to 20 years of age—Photoshop from Adobe is one of the few. The feature list of such a mature program (version 12) has to either get shorter but more extraordinary or branch into new areas—and Photoshop keeps ...
Enhanced user interface; Mini Bridge for accessing images fast; Lens Correction Filter is handy; Improved brushes
CAF and Puppet Warp needs tweaking
Adobe is again trying to push the boundaries with new tools and features with Photoshop CS5. Features such as Puppet Warp, Lens Correction Filter and Advanced Brushes are great for photo editing. Plus, lots of tweaks and improvements also make CS5 an ...
Bildebehandling med alle tenkelige og kanskje også noen utenkelige funksjoner. Ypperlig både til generell retusjering og til avansert kunstnerisk (men også kriminell?) bildemanipulasjon.
Dyr programvare, i hvert fall for ikke-profesjonelle brukere. Bratt lærekurve, lite pedagogisk dokumentasjon – å lære programmet skikkelig krever gjerne både kurs, videoopplæring via internett og tilleggslitteratur.
Offers a host of helpful new marquee features including Content-Aware Fill, intelligent selection and masking, and Puppet Warp; easy to access images in Photoshop via Mini Bridge; very fast performance thanks to native 64-bit support for Mac and Windows computers; dozens of user-suggested fixes; more HDR and painting tools and increased Camera Raw functionality
Lacks serious editing features for HD video; Merge to HDR function was slow and had some bugs; not much new in Adobe Bridge
I'd hate to be a Photoshop plug-in company right now. Adobe has added so many new tools to Photoshop CS5 that once were the domain of plug-ins and standalone apps—HDR, lens correction, and painting, just to name a few—I find myself going less and less...
The question for some users is going to be whether or not Photoshop CS5 is worth the upgrade over its predecessors. While I had some small reservations in recommending Premiere Pro CS5 over CS4, Photoshop CS5 is a slam dunk. I think that's due in no small part to Content-Aware Fill, which for many users may very well wind up being Photoshop CS5's killer app. It's something new we've never seen b
Extended is overpriced. Repoussé still not full 3D solution.
Photoshop CS5 is one of the most compelling versions we’ve ever seen, delivering a wide array of new toys that really make this a powerful imaging application. If you’ve been hanging back for a while, it’s time to take the plunge.Photoshop CS5...

Faster 64-bit support; selection enhancements; content-aware fill; lens correction; Merge to HDR Pro; Mixer Brush; Puppet Warp; Repoussé and 3D improvements
Power hungry in places; optimised for high-end systems; Camera Raw plug-in in shipped version still requires an update; 3D offered in Extended version only
Photoshop CS5 offers several productivity gains, including Repoussé and selection enhancements, HDR Pro and Content Aware Fill. Whether artistic tools like Mixer Brush and Puppet Warp will be worth the price depends on the type of work you do. And you'll...
