TestSeek's Expert Reviews Summary
Staff at TestSeek has read all the expert reviews (so you don't have to) for this product and written a summary of what the editors think about the product.
The Altec Lansing Expressionist BASS FX3022 is a 2.0 computer speaker set which impresses most of the editors both with their design and audio quality. Instead of a separate subwoofer unit, the bass speaker is build into the speakers themselves. This design generally works fine and produces good audio quality but it may cause the table to vibrate at higher volumes. Most of the reviewers like the design of the product but they do reserve them selves by saing that "taste is individual"...indeed. Most editors think that the price is a little steep for the quality/sound of these speakers. They are often compared to Creative G-series speakers which most editors believe are better, at least when the price is considered as well.
The editors liked
Really good sound
Capable of producing high sound levels
Nice design
Subwoofer are built into speakers
The editors didn't like
Too much bass sometimes
Not possible to adjust bass
Sound gets distorted at high volumes
TestSeek's Conclusion
Good looking and smartly designed speakers with high audio quality. A litlle too expensive; there are cheaper PC 2.1 speaker sets which gives you better value.
For the best part of a decade PC sound boffins have been trying to convince us that we need to hook our desktops up to surround speakers to make the most of games and PC video. ...
Som det fremgår af testen bliver disse højttalere faktisk pæne efter kort tid (efter min smag). Subwooferen er indbygget så man sparer en stor kasse, og de gør det virkeligt godt hvis der er for lidt plads på dit PC-bord. Hvi...
Excellent sound and bass quality; unique tower-like shape.
No bass control; untidy wiring; a tad pricey.
I do think the Expressionist Bass FX3022 is a fun addition to anyone’s computer. The model lives up to the design, and holds its own when you are playing music and games. The lack of bass control could be an issue for some but it’s certainly n...
Very good looking, cool conical shape, Bass powerful enough to replace the need for a separate subwoofer
Bass overpowering for music listening, A little too forward sounding, Can be harsh high frequencies at times
PerformanceWe were quite itching to play these speakers right away and blast them with our tunes, but first, theoretical testing needs to be done, as that’s our job. I inserted our self made audio test disc into the HTPC drive and plugged in the FX3...
Stylish design, Relatively good sound quality, MP3 Input
Poor volume controls, Overpowering bass, Very large size
Offering all the bass that comes with a subwoofer without the wasted space on your floor, the expressionist BASS speakers from Altec Lansing prove to be an interesting concept. Instead of a traditional subwoofer, the speakers have a four inch subwoofe...
Abstract: Out now I’ve never really gotten into Dr. Who. When my science fiction sensibilities were being formed, ugly British dudes in scarves didn’t fit my definition of an heroic figure. This won’t prevent me, however, from telling people the Expressionist B...
