  • Android makes it more than just a media player, but we recommend waiting for an update to version 1.6 before you buy. ...

  • Putting aside the teething issues with this device, the Archos 5 Internet Tablet is a very well featured portable media player, that is, in many respects, a joy to use. The 4.8in screen makes this a first rate video player, while the extensive codec suppo...

  • Beautiful design; impressive display; add-ons provide an unparalleled experience
  • Pricey; many Web videos wouldn't play; features that come standard in comparable products are absent; unreliable Wi-Fi

  • Large, gorgeous screen makes it arguably the bestlooking media player on the market. At 6.4 ounces, it's barely heavier than your cellphone
  • Android runs dogslow when it's not crashing. 32 GB doesn't feel like enough storage for a highdef movie device. (Heavier, bigger, harddrive versions are also available.) Touchscreen is badly botched, which makes typing incredibly frustrating

  • Abstract:  The Archos 5 Internet Tablet appears to be an attempt at snagging some of the market share held by popular multi-use devices such as the Zune HD and the iPod Touch. It boasts a number of qualities that make it stand out from the rest of that market. Ke...
