  • Good touch interface, Great media experience, HD and SD video output with optional dock, Access to apps from the Android Market
  • Poor GPS navigation, Browser doesn’t support Flash, Device gets hot after only a few minutes of use, Limited number of Android apps available
  • This top-notch portable media player has a big screen for surfing the Web and enjoying (some) Android apps.

  • Beautiful HD display, Supports a vast array of media file formats,
  • DVR functionality requires an expensive addon, GPS is erratic and costs extra for pedestrian mode

  • There's not been a great Android multimedia player until now, but the Archos 5 Internet Tablet sets the standard for everything from Android phones to Apple's iPods to follow. There's vast file support for both music (MP3, WMA, AAC, Ogg Vorbis...
  • The new Archos 5 Internet Tablet may run Android, but that doesn't mean you can download just any old app for Google's platform. You're stuck with those available on Archos's own AppsLib e-store, and compared to the Android Market, its she...
  • Archos is clearly gunning for the iPod touch with the Archos 5 Internet Tablet, but when it's so much larger, it's missing the point. The Archos 5 Internet Tablet is perfect if you find yourself squinting at video on the Apple PMP's small scre...

  • Abstract:  Except for maybe the keyboard, web browsing on the Archos 5 Android is a significant across-the-board improvement over the Archos 5 IMT. The Android tablet loads pages faster, has more connectivity options, offers better scrolling and browser navigation..

  • Sleek design. Huge, beautiful, high-res screen. Built-in Wi-Fi, browser. On-screen home button for one-click Main Menu access. No need for stylus. Available in large capacities.
  • Expensive. Touch-screen interface is not as sophisticated as those of competitors. Apps aren't well-executed. UI could stand to be streamlined—requires too many clicks at times.
  • Besides the half-baked Android implementation on the latest Archos 5 Internet Tablet, not much has changed from last year's device, and the touch-screen PMP competition is only getting tougher....
