  • Amazing picture, great sensitivity, large sensor, very cheap price.
  • Poor ergonomics for a video camera, focus is difficult while using standard and professional Canon EF still lenses.
  • A giant leap forward in inexpensive, high-quality, film-like HD video...

  • If you're a serious amateur looking for an awesome camera, or a pro needing a second (or even first) Canon body, the EOS 7D makes an excellent choice. The combination of features, price and build quality is hard to beat. About the only complaint might ...

  • As a smaller sibling to the 5D Mark II, it was the video capabilities that created the buzz around the EOS 7D. It was the only alternative for sensible frame rates, whilst still being able to take advantage of the huge selection of fast EF lenses and ...

  • Solid build and weatherproofing with prostyle feel in hand. Frame rate is sportshooter ready. Wireless control of external Speedlite flashes. 8 frames per second in RAW makes us swoon.
  • Noisy popup flash motor. Quickcontrol dial on the back of the camera takes more effort to turn than previous Canon models. Auto white balance in artificial light is bronzemedal worthy at best.

  • The 7D brings to the table some of the best video from a DSLR we have seen to date. It has the benefits of shooting video with 35mm lenses, without the lighting drawbacks of a 35mm adapter on a traditional camcorder. It has a good feel, and excellent ...

  • We've waited quite a while for the release of a digital EOS 3 and the new EOS 7D comes darn close here - it's a true professional grade DSLR based on an APS-C sensor. The build quality of the camera is superb thanks to a metal construction with ad...

  • Shoots 18MP images at eight frames per second. Responsive autofocus. Pop-up flash. Large controls. Built-in Speedlite transmitter.
  • LCD doesn't swivel. Fuzziness at high ISOs.
  • Canon's latest DSLR is well made, intuitive to use, high-performing, and capable of stunning results, even at high ISO settings. It's a clever concoction of pro specs at semi-pro pricing.Canon EOS 7D...
