  • Abstract:  The Clarion MiND is a GPS unit, a media player, a web browser, and an external screen for a gamepad or USB key full of photos, all in a shiny black enclosure that you can toss in your manly tote or into a very large pocket. The device can be used in two m...

  • Nice GPS display and data entry; multimedia player, e-mail client and Web browser.
  • Connected features require Wi-Fi or a phone; mediocre multimedia playback, e-mail support.

  • Large, easy-to-read icons, Good performance, Lightweight, Loud, clear audio
  • Hard to see display when outdoors, Small storage capacity, Short battery life, No video-out
  • Clarion’s affordable mobile Internet device puts GPS, multimedia, and the Web in the palm of your hand, but we wish it offered longer battery life.

  • umer Electronics Show in January 2007, and started shipping early in 2009. It should be available now through caraudio specialty shops in Canada and will likely turn up in larger electronics chains.

  • Bottom line here, the unit I received for testing was nice and overall it was very easy to use. It did have some faults such as the quickly draining battery along with a fairly large overall size, but that said, I do feel it did a great job at what I ...

  • Abstract:  Doug’s put up a review at our friend site, Gear Diary, of the Clarion MiND, what you may ask is that? I think most of you would only be familiar with Clarion as a car stereo manufacturer, so when they come up with a device like the MiND, [media, intern...
