  • The Dyson Ball Compact Animal performs well on carpeted surfaces with most types of debris. The canister is easy to empty and the vacuum itself is simple to use
  • The Ball Compact Animal didn't outperform other vacuums the way you'd expect it to for its price
  • You can buy a better-performing vacuum for far less money, making the Dyson DC50 a poor value....

  • Dyson DC50 As always, I'm happy with the performance of every Dyson vacuum cleaner, including the DC50. The Dyson DC50 is compact (easier to store), light-weight (easier to steer around), and powerful (with Dyson's new 2 Tier Radial™ Cyclones technology ...

  • Putting it to the test on a battleground recently invaded by a newborn, the first observations are just how light - 5.4kg - the Dyson DC50 is, and how the clever ball system allows for easy maneuvering into nooks and crannies. Oh, and pro tip: be sure to clean the filters and the heads regularly, or else you will shorten
  • For £360 you have to really want the best vacuum cleaner on the market. And, while the Dyson DC50 is the Roller of floor suckers, it does require a fair bit of care and attention. It’s a high maintenance piece of gadgetry but it simply wipes the floors...

  • Small, powerful, compact, light, gets spiders like no other
  • Hose attachment is long, making it hard to do close -up work, expensive
  • As with all Dyson vacuum cleaners, the Dyson DC50 is an expensive, like £360 expensive, however it works well and is compact and bijou at the same time....

  • Good cleaning, Easy to manoeuvre, Hygienic bagless cleaning, Easy to store
  • Small capacity bin, Somewhat flimsy feel, Short hose limits reach
  • As much an aspirational gadget as a household appliance, Dyson, with the Dyson DC50 Animal, has taken much of the hassle out of vacuuming. Unrivalled handling and impressive suction combine with a brilliant all surface brushbar to create a device that rem...
