  • Web interface doesn't require dedicated apps for mobile devices. Ability to record 30minute long shows to USB storage devices. Firmware updates suggest performance and capabilities could improve in the future
  • No HDMI support. Setup can be lengthy and complicated if you have a cable or satellite box. Requires a wired Ethernet connection initially, which can be an issue depending on your home router placement. Plastic box feels cheap, and IR blaster isn't very s

  • Hauppauge's well-established expertise in making TV tuners has obviously stood it in good stead in creating solid encoding and streaming technology. I didn't much miss the high-def support that some competitors have, and overall, I found the Broadway t...

  • Streams live TV from a cable box, satellite receiver, or TV antenna to iPhones, iPads, PCs, and Macs. Works over local wireless and via Internet. Doesn't require separate app installs on mobile devices.
  • Complex setup requires considerable networking knowledge. Home router needs a free local wired port plus a live Internet connection. Doesn't control a DVR, so you can't watch recorded programs remotely. Doesn't stream high-definition video
  • The Hauppauge Broadway offers wireless TV streaming from your cable box to your iPad, iPhone, and computer, but the annoying setup procedure and lack of DVR control render it an inferior alternative to a Slingbox....

  • Moderately priced box capably streams live TV, Reliable; less crash-prone than some competitors
  • No HD support, No support for DVR or on-demand features, Setup can be intimidating for nontechies
  • Once you get through a fairly complex setup routine, the Broadway capably lets you stream video remotely, but it suffers from a lack of support for DVR and other advanced cable/satellite features. ...

  • Does as advertised – you can watch live TV right over the internet, Extremely easy to set up – it's almost as simple as plug and play, Works on any internet enabled device (as far as I can tell at least)
  • No decryption abilities means if you use a QAS service you'll miss out on channels, On both routers I tried, UPnP didn't work to open ports – I had to do it manually, there's like a 510 second delay, which makes it impractical for sports
  • The Broadway is a great little device that does exactly as it says it will, however the lack of dec...
