  • Affordable; easy setup; magnetic mount; rechargeable battery; night vision; twoway audio; deep IFTTT support
  • No HD video; no livestreaming, So which one is best?, Each of these cameras has its strengths, and that's why one might be a better choice than another, depending on what your need is. The Arlo and Homeboy are ideal for more unfettered deployment becaus

  • The Piper NV is a solid security camera for your smart home. It was prompt in sending me emails, texts, and calls for different rules and triggers I set up. Coming in at $199, it's a quality and cheap solution to equip your home with. The single downside t...

  • No thirdparty hardware support, While worth the money, it is not cheap, Videos can only be viewed through the app and cannot be downloaded.

  • Night vision sees through the darkness, Upgraded camera produces slightly better video quality, Comprehensive control using the app, No monthly charges or subscriptions for the service
  • Basically the same set of features from before, There's no way to download recorded footage, Tough call on paying for the $80 difference vs the Piper classic
  • Comparing their prices, the Piper classic is still selling for $200 – while the new Piper nv will set you back $280. That $80 difference, by itself, is pretty substantial in our opinion, since the main differentiator at stake here is night vision. Even th...

  • Highly customisable, Works well as a security device, Slick app
  • Flaky networking, Iffy smart home integration, Average video quality
  • Rating the Piper nv is no easy task. As a security cam - its main purpose - it generally did a very good job, sitting quietly in the kitchen and sending me alerts when my cat was being beaten up. Its app is well made and after some initial setup problems...
