  • Plenty of retro charm, great for kids, accessible price, age-appropriate Experience Packs content, works with Google Cardboard apps

  • While VR content is currently an extremely mixed bag, the View-Master Virtual Reality Viewer is a decent enough option if you're eager to dip your toe into the pool in which we will all one day be immersed. The Viewer is a bit rough around some edges...

  • The Mattel View-Master is inexpensive and easy to get up and running, plus it looks pretty darn cool. It works with both Android and iPhones
  • The Experience Reels aren't exactly coming thick and fast. It's not designed to work with headphones, which might prove frustrating. And it requires your phone
  • The Mattel View-Master is best viewed as a low-priced "My First Virtual Viewer" for the whole family, if you're OK with a few restrictions...
