The Mitsubishi HC6500 is an evolutionary advance over the HC6000, and benefits from a marked price reduction in the process. It is a useful addition to the excellent range of $4000 to $5000 full high-definition home theatre projectors.VERDICTMitsubishi HC...
What better recommendation for a home cinema projector than the fact that its parent company also makes beer (Kirin lager)? Settle back in your chair with two of the Japanese super-conglomerate’s finest products, enjoying the crisp bite of Kirin whi...
While brightness is good, if you stretch the HC6500 beyond 110 inches, you’ll start to see the strain. It loves 24p Blu-ray footage but copes less impressively with plain old Freeview. And to be honest, at around a grand and a half, it’s still...

Motorised zoom, focus and lensshift (2 speeds), Very deep blacks, Nice to look at, Very precise image, Quiet
High standby energy consumption, Larger than the HC5500, Sony gives better upscaling, Video noise levels better on the Sanyo, Dynamic iris doesn’t handle the most intense whites

Deep blacks for an LCD; natural-looking colors and skin tones; flexible placement; whisper quiet.
Needs proper calibration.
Mitsubishis delivered a top-notch sub-S$6,000 HD projector with the HC6500. Its a noticeable improvement over its predecessors and a serious contender at this hotly contested 1080p projection price point.
