  • It produced good cooking results and can double as an induction hotplate
  • This is the second most expensive product in our comparison and it takes up a lot of counter space
  • The Oliso Smart Hub works well to give you consistent results, but the device's many limitations and high price make it unpreferable to other sous vides in our comparison...

  • The Oliso SmartHub & Top, a countertop sous-vide appliance that combines an induction base and a double-walled tub, transforms cuts of beef into succulent entrees. You can also use the base as a standalone induction burner with your existing cookware
  • At $500, the Oliso is at least twice as expensive as immersion circulators that attach to existing pots for sous vide. It's also bigger and more cumbersome. The induction cooktop boiled water slowly

  • An intriguing blend of cooktop and water bath that can be a great solution for some home cooks. Oliso will likely release other accessories to fit on the induction burner, giving the SmartHub increased capabilities
  • There are still a few kinks to work out and at $499, you could buy an immersion circulator and an induction burner separately and save about $200
