  • The PK301 boasts one of the better resolutions in the pocket projector business. While it doesn’t stretch quite into the eye-popping world of HD, the 854 x 480 pixel count is native 16:9 widescreen, making this model more suitable for watching movies than most of its rivals, which are firmly mired in 4:3-sville. At 50 lumens the image is also brighter than most, and while you won’t be able to enj
  • Optoma hasn’t been able to iron out all the issues with pico projector performance, however, and the PK301 tends to get pretty noisy on the fan front once you crank up the brightness. It also struggles to provide a really sharp picture – very noticeable if you’re viewing a 50-inch or larger picture. Oh, and the built-in speakers can only muster 0.5W of power, leaving them tinnier than a tuna cann
  • One of the better pico projectors around, undoubtedly – but you still have to trade off a lot in performance terms for that pocket-friendly size.Best offers for the Optoma PK301 Pico ProjectoreBay.co.uk £299.00 Pixmania £299.00 Misco £352.49 Amazon Mar...

Toutef...

  • The PK301's price point is on the more expensive side with a MSRP $399. Although you can get Pico projectors for a lot less money, you generally don't get as many features, and brightness is usually much less. Not to mention the resolution of the chea...

  • The Optoma PK-301's combination of aspect ratio and brightness put it in a unique class by itself. With a list price of $399 and very fine video and data images, it is well suited for those who do widescreen presentations, or want to watch movies at h...

  • By God, it’s small. Decent connectivity. Ships with a padded pocket pouch. Bright enough to watch in a dark room at a meaningful picture size. Can run from a battery
  • Not as cheap as we’d like. Pictures aren’t very sharp or colourful. Runs noisily on full brightness. Fiddly focus ring
  • A vast improvement on its predecessor and still charmingly small, but a lack of brightness means it’s still restricted to a life in dark rooms ...

  • Attractive design, Relatively bright picture, Accurate focusing ring, Wide range of inputs
  • Must convert PowerPoint presentations before viewing, Short battery life, More expensive than competitors
  • This pico projector is small, sleek, and bright, but a high price and short battery life knock it down a peg.
