  • Very respectable transfer rates here, considering it's a RAID5 setup which isn't known as the RAID protocol to shatter speed records. The 5 Seagate drives, I feel, are readily available, cheap and seem to make a good pick for a NAS unit like this...

  • Loud , Not configured to DHCP out of the box
  • Thecus' N5500 is, like all of Thecus' lines, best suited to the professional user who doesn't mind tweaking with the unit to get the most out of it....
