  • Its a TiVo the user experience is far and above the standard cable company DVR, Can upgrade the hard drive that comes with the unit, Future functionality possible with USB and Ethernet connectivity.
  • CableCard and other fees can vary, and can negate any savings over a rented STB, Undersized hard drive, Unidirectional CableCard (no PPV, OnDemand, or some lesspopular channels being delivered by SDV).
  • The TiVo HD isnt without its problems, but its a great way to get an HiDef DVR without having to rent one from your cable company in perpetuity and deal with the poor software their boxes come with. The biggest problems are the lack of pay-per-view an...

  • The best HD-capable TiVo ever. Dual HD tuners. Still easy to use. Online scheduling via Web site or cell phone.
  • Menu operation is a little slow at times. No TiVo to Go. No satellite support. Cable TV DVRs can be cheaper in the long run. Great for fans, may be too late for novices. Cell-phone scheduling is only on Verizon Wireless.
  • Combining the best of the legendary simple-to-use TiVo interface with dual CableCARD readers and an affordable price (finally!), the new TiVo HD delivers the promise that the TiVo Series 3 HD made....

  • Top-quality video and audio, huge storage capacity, THX-certified, dual tuner records two programs simultaneously, Ethernet and USB connectivity
  • Expensive, currently lacks Series2 features such as TiVoToGo and Multi-Room Viewing, cant be directly connected to a cable box
  • The TCD648250B is TiVos first Series3 model, and it is also TiVos first HD DVR and the first THX-certified DVR. If youre looking to view recorded material in its native HD format, the TCD648250B delivers top-quality video and audio, far superior to...

  • Abstract:  Despite their award-winning graphic interface, TiVo digital video recorders have been losing ground to the DVRs supplied by local cable companies, in part because TiVo couldnt record HDTV programs from cable TV. Now the brand that replaced the phrase...
