  • Abstract:  Ultra Products remains on cutting edge when it comes to modular power supplies. With the X3 1000 Watt they have successfully combined an energy efficient 1000 Watt unit with the full modular designs that first put Ultra on the map. The X3 looks great...

  • Abstract:  Video Review: What separates the Ultra X3 1000W Modular Power Supply from the many other's that are on the market is it's completely modular. Some power supplies within the 1000W range claim to be modular, but the main motherboard leads are still hard wired into the power supply. This power supply comes with a very quiet 135mm fan which provides fantastic cooling and means this it can be used in almost any environment. I also like the fact that the Ultra X3 line of power supplies ranges from 600 watts to 1600 watts. So the user can pick a model for their power requirements. Watch the video to find out more and check out the bloopers at the end.

  • Excellent finish, Completely modular, Very quiet, Lots of cables and good length
  • Measured ripple and noise out of spec at high loads
  • This is really tough to draw a conclusion on this PSU. For the average consumer its going to be great. It looks fantastic, has modular connections, is quiet and provides many systems with enough power to run flawless for months, if not years on end...

  • We found the Ultra X3 to perform rather well. With our testing focused on efficiency, the Ultra X3 PSU tracked closer to the performance of the 750 watt Thermaltake ToughPower, while the Tagan TG1100 was the most power hungry of the three models test...

  • Abstract:  Some people say a 1000 watt PUS is overkill, but with video cards demanding a lot of power 500 - 600 watt power supplies dont seem to cut it anymore. So, 1000 watts isnt too much, especially on dual graphic card systems. The Ultra Products X3 is prob...

  • Good performance, Active PFC and high efficiency (85%), Modular FlexForce cables, Silent 135mm fan, PCI-E 2.0 (8-pin PCI-E), Separate 8-pin and 4-pin Auxiliary power connection, Many connections
  • Under-volted and slight fluctuations on the 5V and 12V rails
  • Except for those running a massive system that includes a good deal of the latest hardware, 1000W is more power than you could possibly need. During the course of the review, the Ultra Products X3 1000 Watt modular power supply came close to powering t...
