  • Capacity; design; good screen; Cover Flow; use of album art; high-quality video support; great games; handy search feature; sound quality; support for lossless audio; integrated podcast features
  • New main menu UI; have to use iTunes; navigation can be slow at times
  • Apple has not only exceeded our expectations, its exceeded ones we didnt even have. The iPod classic is a superb audio player with a huge wealth of well-integrated features and intuitive navigation. Our only real concern is that menus can be laggy. ...

  • Abstract:  Released alongside the all new third generation iPod Nano, the new iPod Classic offers a refined all-metal case, the same new graphical interface of the Nano, and the most battery and storage capacity of any iPod model (thanks to its hard drive and he...

  • Abstract:  The 80GB model is the flagship of the revamped iPod line that Apple announced on September 12. Other new models are an enhanced 30GB hard-drive player at $249; new 2GB ($149, silver only), 4GB ($199), and...

  • Huge capacity Excellent sound quality Revamped interface
  • Sluggish/balky menus No docking station included Requires iTunes 7 or newer Might not be compatible with some accessories
  • The Apple iPod Classic is a nice evolutionary step in iPod design aimed at previous generation owners who require more storage capacity, or new owners who don’t want to pony up premium fees for less than premium storage. Granted, the unit’s ne...

  • The iPod classic is just like the Video iPod, only slimmer, tougher, and injected with a more visually rich graphic user interface.
  • Video output requires a proprietary cable; audio quality has not improved; some older iPod video accessories may not be compatible; users are required to use the latest version of iTunes, which may not work on some older computer systems.
  • The iPod classic is a refinement of the formula that put the iPod on the map. Few can match its combination of storage capacity, battery life, and advanced user interface.

  • The iPod Classic is just like the fifth-generation iPod with video, only slimmer, tougher, and injected with a more visually rich graphical user interface.
  • Video output now requires a proprietary cable; audio quality has not improved; some older iPod video accessories may not be compatible; users are required to use the latest version of iTunes, which may not work on some older computer systems.
  • The iPod Classic is a refinement of the formula that put the iPod on the map. Few can match its combination of storage capacity, battery life, and advanced user interface.

  • My hands-on time with the new iPod classic left me with a largely positive impression. Its less exciting than the nano in terms of its new appearance and fewer major feature upgrades. However, two of those improvements - considerably better battery l...
